Construction of CTG’s Zhejiang Changlong Pumped Storage Power Plant Project Was Commenced

  On March 29, Song Xinchao, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage (SACH), while holding a discussion with Sha Xianhua, Executive Vice President of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), said SACH would provide full support for the construction of The Three Gorges Project Museum by allocating a batch of cultural relics and collections excavated in the Three Gorges Reservoir area and engaging a number of museum experts in the expert team for the museum construction.

  After being briefed about the preparation of the Three Gorges Project Museum, overall exhibition plan and the scheme of the expert team, Song Xinchao said it is very necessary to build a museum in the area of the Three Gorges Dam to demonstrate the Three Gorges Project's remarkable history, construction achievements and comprehensive benefits as well as change of natural and social environments in the Three Gorges Area, and is also in line with the overall museum construction plan in the Area. The Three Gorges Project is a national project. The Three Gorges Project Museum aims to showcase the great project and its significance for the whole country, so the museum shall be built according to the standard of a provincial-level museum. SACH will give full support to the construction of the Three Gorges Project Museum and coordinate cultural relic deparments of Hubei Province and Chongqing Municipality as well as relevant museums to provide cultural relics and collections excavated in the Three Gorges Reservoir area to enrich collections of the museum. Also, SACH will engage a batch of experts in the expert team to provide consulting services for preparation of the museum.
