As of the end of 2009, CTGPC had launched wind farms into operation in a total installed capacity of 193.5MW and had wind farms under construction in a total capacity of 249.5MW. CTPGC has facilitated the development of wind farms in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Ganshu, Qinghai, Jilin and Jiangsu with an aim to have a total installed capacity of 20,000MW by 2020.
